Something extremely gross that I absolutely adore Robin is parmeggiano cheese - it is delicious, but the chemical that makes it smell is the exact same one that gives vomit it's pungent aroma!Deli-disgusting!
That's a really tough question. Unfortunately, it would appear that like many people, my mobile phone is an object I can't live without. However, I can catagorically tell you that it is not my favourite... as a matter of fact I really dislike it! But which object do I like the most? Well between classes you'll often find me in the kitchen grinding beans to make myself a delicious coffee. I got a coffee machine for my birthday this year and I have to say that it is the current love of my life (just don't tell my husband that!)
Hello Robin. What a fascinating question ! And one that I can answer without a momentary hesitation ! The answer is, my tennis racquet ! You can regularly catch me between classes, jumping to my feet and engaging in elegant swishes of the racquet and hitting all sorts of impossible, imaginary shots, punching the air in triumph, before returning to my seat , slightly out of breath, to greet my next group of wonderful Jool geniuses !
Though I struggle ( and invariably lose ) in the back and forth of historical debates with my students, my imaginary tennis skills are without parallel. The ball was clearly on the line!
However, in actual fact, my favourite object is the very thing that helped me learn about the Romans sharing butt cleaning brushes in public toilets - my Kindle. I haven't read a paper book in about 5 years. I read everything on my Kindle and take it everywhere with me. I'm now onto my 7th Kindle and I have about 3000 books on it that I've read or WILL read (I hate you, Moby Dick).
It's so lovely of you to ask because it gives me a chance to talk about my favourite object of all time - toilet paper! 😍 Personally, I favour a double quilted composition from recycled materials ♻️🧻. In fact, I have a project to develop my own toilet brushes like the Romans - 🏺🚽🌿www.friendlybuttbathingbrushesbroughttoyoubyromans.com. 🧻
